Ella Meadery is a craft meadery born at BOS Ranch, where native wildflowers bloom, horses graze across Oklahoma grassland, and the air carries the warmth of long summers. Every bottle begins with the choicest honeys from across the USA — and ends only when it is truly ready. We use no shortcuts, no artificial flavors, no calendar deadlines. Just honey, water, fruit, time, and the kind of care that can only come from people who love what they do.
How We Work
The Art of Ancient Brewing
Sourcing the Honey
We source a variety of honeys from Florida to Oklahoma to Oregon to Hawai'i and places in-between. Honey varietals are specifically chosen for each and every recipe.
Slow Fermentation
We add nothing to rush the process. Our meads ferment gently over weeks — sometimes months — developing complexity and character that fast fermentation simply cannot produce. Patience is a key ingredient.
Tasted. Approved. Bottled.
Every batch is hand-tasted before a single bottle is filled. If it isn't exceptional, it isn't bottled. Then each bottle is hand-filled, corked, and labelled right here at BOS Ranch — by the same people who made it.

Ella Meadery is more than a name — it's BOS Ranch, a vibrant Oklahoma working property where wildflower fields sway under open skies and horses roam freely. Our journey began simply: with bees. When you raise bees in this kind of landscape, mead-making becomes inevitable. Honey from our own hives, nurtured by nature’s rhythm, inspired us to craft something exceptional.
From selecting the perfect honey for each batch to timing fermentation just right — every decision is made by our master meadmaker. We take ownership of each step, from blending to bottling, including hand-labeling every single bottle. This hands-on approach ensures that care, tradition, and a personal touch shape every drop we craft.
